A MOST DANGEROUS STATE

"What irritates us in the first place is that our wishes are not fulfilled. But remaining upset does nothing to help fulfill those wishes. So we neither fulfill our wishes nor regain our cheerfulness. This disconcerted state, from which anger can grow, is most dangerous. We should never try to let our happy frame of mind be disturbed. Whether we are suffering at present or have suffered in the past, there is no reason to be unhappy." HH the Dalai Lama

I'm in a most dangerous state. Going to put on my visor and see if that helps.

May you regain your cheerfulness ASAP. It IS your natural state Carrie. Don't forget who you are.

I've never known you to be a danger to yourself. It's just a moment in time, sit with it and it will leave. I promise you.

Love you

Suzy

Wow.

It's only dangerous if we stay stuck and make all our decisions from there.

We got your back.

After your last post I can understand why you might be in somewhat of a funk. Just a thought, embrace the disconcerted feeling (for just a while) and see if it is trying to teach you something. (Seriously I am not good at stating these things, but I do feel fighting to overcome as a first instinct is not what HH had in mind.) thoughts?

Sometimes all you can do is connect with your feelings and let them pass.

They always do, one way or another.

I hope it helped. ;)

These words are so simple, and yet I could sit and really THINK about what they could mean to me and my life... He is a cool little guy.

Oh isn't it those unfulfilled wishes that get us every time?! I'm learning to express my wishes to those who could fulfill them (or at least help me fulfill them in some way). Sometimes the unexpressed wishes are the ones that have the potential to put us in a dangerous place, too.

I hope you are doing better today. I'm just catching up! You guys out of school yet?
