GUESS WHAT THESE ALL HAVE IN COMMON?

1- umbrella
1- swimsuit
1- pair of knitting needles
1-1/2 started knitting project
1- wadded up plastic bag
1- set of origami paper
1- volleyball jersey
1- 1 pair of corduroy pants
1- paperclip
1- penny
3-bobby pins
1-handkerchief
1- CD case with no CD
3-pairs of shoes (tennis, flats, flip-flops)

Answer: They were all in the same drawer in Woohoo's closet. We've been doing a major room makeover (2nd in 2 years. This. Is. It.) We've been going through every drawer, every nook, every cranny, every everything. This, however, was my favorite. Here are some pictures of all the fun:

Well, you just never know when you might need to bobby pin a handkerchief to your hair to go with your swimsuit and flip flops so that you can do some origami in the rain by the pool (that you will display upon an empty cd case - duh), after which you will certainly need tennis shoes for the volleyball game followed by a knitting circle with friends for which you will undoubtedly need to change into cords and flats lest you just look silly. And never, ever should you be caught without a plastic bag to carry your paperclip.

Penny for your thoughts?

Cadence and I just did the same thing....after all, she could not possibly sleep in that babyish room anymore now that she's a "preteen." She did, however, explain that a second makeover would be required when she turned into an actaul teenager. I asked what things would have to change and her answer..."Oh so many things..I don't even know where to begin." Reading this, I see she's probably right.

Good grief, that's some kind of makeover. I should do likewise but I don't have the energy at the moment, scratch that I do have the energy but it's the sort of thing that takes time and there are just way too many interruptions for any big projects.
Cheers

I could use an internal makeover. I probably have several drawers...well, okay spaces if not drawers...that have similar dissimilar objects. Wanna come over and help me, too?

I like beds by windows. I like to be able to sit in bed and see out the window. It's only ever happened in one place, at my townhouse. I could sit in my bed and watch the stars. I liked that.

Do we lead parallel lives? I just finished redoing both girls' bedrooms. I figure I'm done for a good five years now. Unless they can save up enough allowance to pay someone else to do it...
