Dictionary.com's word of the day is:

bumptious \BUMP-shuhs\, adjective:

Crudely, presumptuously, or loudly self-assertive.

... which is actually kind of apt for me today, too, if you swirl in a huge dose of anxious and a generous dollop of hand wringing.

Too funny.... hope the apathy doesn't last too long.

No accidents! Hope it's a transient word for you.

In college we had a calender that had National Apathy Day. We spent all day saying, "Happy Apathy Day!" "Aw, who cares." lol (I miss college.)

My 7 Habits calendar has been "kicking my butt" daily with it's oh so pertinent to my state of being wisdom! Sometimes, I sit there stunned at how apropos the message is for me that day.

I hope the apathy doesn't last long.

Sounds like a bit of rest is in order. I love how you can turn nothing into something interesting that makes me laugh (or cry).
