Good blog post! I am going to have to add a few of those to my list.
I KNEW this was coming!
okay. good thing I have all but two of those! otherwise, i don't think my budget could take it!
thanks. just went onto my library and requested the 6 i haven' read. i have a feeling i like what you like.
The covers of all of those look like they're good and juicy with great characters. So sad to say I haven't read a one. I guess i better go pay that old "liberry" fine and start checking out again. :)
Everyone who follows your blog should get to add one choice. So I'll start: Finding Beauty in a Broken World by Terry Tempest Williams.
Here's to more wonderful books and lots of time to read them in 2009, when your kids GO BACK TO SCHOOL. Love.
There are two there I have, so it's time I read them. :)My favorites from this year -Song of Solomon by Toni MorrisonGo Tell it on the Mountain - James BaldwinEat, Pray, Love - Elizabeth GilbertEleanor of Acquitaine - Alison WeirSome all-time favorites:A Prayer for Owen Meany - John IrvingPaula - Isabel AllendeHoly the Firm - Annie DillardThe Joy Luck Club - Amy Tan
i agree with ALL of those books-so now i must go shopping for the few on your list i didn't read AND maybe I will make a list too!!!!!
I have not read most of these. Thanks, although a few words of each would not kill ya! Jeez.I want to know why you likey. ;)Did you know Claire, (Come Back) sometimes checks in on my blog? She is very cool indeed. That book KILLED me.:)
There's never time for all the good books in the world, the stack my bed is huge. :)And I'll just put in another plug for The Wholeness of a Broken Heart. Loved that, need to read it again now.Did you read Bel Canto by Ann Patchett? I'm halfway through it. Good stuff.
