So both kids are off their meds, we're having six separate and disparate conversations all at the same time, in the car, as I struggle to find a place I've never been before (hard for me under the best of circumstances).

"Grrrrrrrr... " I say, as both kids laugh. They think it's funny that I'm about to lose it.

"Can we try THIS? How about I say ONE thing, and the person to whom I am speaking RESPONDS APPROPRIATELY? That person does NOT ask a completely unrelated question. That person does NOT say, "What?" That person does not begin a whole NEW story in the midst of my question. Okay? Can we bleeping TRY THAT FOR BLEEPING ONCE? Grrrrrrr...."

Rojo convulses with laughter, seriously, he cannot catch his bleeping breath.

"Mom, you need to take a Grrr-tek for all your grrr-ing."

"Okay, I admit it, that was a good one," I say.

"Put it on your blog when we get home."

"O..." and before I can say "kay" he's already interrupted.

"Don't forget."

"O..."

"Promise you won't forget."

Grrrrr....

Makes me smile. How wonderful that they can play with you even in the frazzled moments. That never would have worked when I was a kid.

Maybe when the kids take medicine vacations, you could pick up the slack for them. Wonder if you being on their meds would prevent the Grrs.

Love you!

Is there a medication for my Arghhhhs? :)

I remember the talking-over-each-other road trips (and at home too) with such unfond memories. LOL. I finally told the three kidlets they had to put their hand on my shoulder and wait till I picked a hand to talk. That helped some...until my shoulders got tired from all the wrangling.

I loved this! Sometimes the banter is worth the grrr moments. Of course, I usually don't realize that until much later!

That person is too funny. Sorry Carrie, I know how frustrating it must be but he's funny.

I honor your strength, sense of humor and unlimited patience not to mention your talented ability to write so eloquently about it!

I had to remove "GRRR" from my vocabulary a few years ago when Foster decided it was his best way to get people out of his way. He learned from a pro... I had thought it was much better than shouting what was actually in my head!
