OPERATION DEFUNKIFIER

1. Read this card (above) that someone wonderful gave me, every time I get discouraged and/or afraid.

2. When I get my you-know-what too far up my you-know what, read this: "What irritates us in the first place is that our wishes are not fulfilled. But remaining upset does nothing to help fulfill those wishes. So we neither fulfill our wishes nor regain our cheerfulness. This disconcerted state, from which anger can grow, is most dangerous. We should never try to let our happy frame of mind be disturbed. Whether we are suffering at present or have suffered in the past, there is no reason to be unhappy." HH the Dalai Lama

3. Remember: love.

And listen to Rojo's advice. Do something nice for Self. And choose to be happy after a good wallow fest. Amen. :)

Honestly, sometimes it just feels good to roll around in that funk for a while. I sometimes feel like I deserve a good crap-fest and know that eventually it will be done, but for now it has some purpose.

No accidents.

And lots of love.

I love both of the quotes. The one I often revisit is this:

When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen. Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.

~ Edward Teller

Just don't look him up. Trust me.

Yes! That is one of my favorite quotes! Another similar one, which I have taped to my computer monitor, is "Sometimes you just have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down." I don't know how I would make it without that quote to see me through!
