THE QUEST FOR BALANCE

Still processing my discovery of the Beggar archetype - one manifestation is the opposite - refusing to ask for anything. BINGO! It showed up in my 4th House: Cancer, which deals with HOME. Hmmmm.... Caroline Myss talks at the end of the book about physical ailments, and how they relate to our archetypes and their placements in our chart. Guess where anxiety falls.

Another big "aha" on my chart was the placement of the Saboteur (we all have that one, it's a gimme, right up there with the Child, Victim and Prostitute, so start preparing yourself for that fun fact right now). The Saboteur is the guardian of CHOICE. That sweet thing landed in my 7th House: Libra, the home of marriage and relationships. KEY-RIST!

So, to summarize, I don't ask for anything. I have trust issues, and in my house of marriage, I am a SABOTEUR???

Pretty much.

Maybe I should turn off the computer and go address these issues with my husband?

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Isn't life all about discovery? Sounds like you are energized in a new way. Do you find that STM could find all of these new revelations a bit exhausting or are they relieving? Maybe both. Dull you're not.

Carrie--I'm clueless right now, in so many ways. Overload, I guess. Anyway--where does anxiety fall?

Man, you've been busy, haven't you? Still awed by your courage, my friend.

Love you so much. Sending Libra light ;-)

In a quest for balance, it seems too that once we achieve it, it must be consciously maintained, or we lose it.

All sounds like Greek to me, but glad you're finding good substance there. I'm in the middle of Secret Life of Bees...oh man!

I wish I lived closer to you. I learn so much from you. A brave soul you are. This is not an easy thing to work on.

Sounds interesting. And you made me smile. KEY-RIST! indeed.

Exactly how long did it take to build Rome anyway?

I wish I knew more about this, it is fascinating. I do know I have a quest for balance also. (I have know idea what a beggar and protitute will have to do with this quest. ;) )

How are you concluding where a given 'archetype' falls in your Houses? I'm still reading your blog so maybe I haven't come upon that part yet. I do archetype work myself but not quite in that way so I find it interesting. PJ

Dear Red Cairo,

You go through an intuitive process that Caroline Myss walks you (beautifully) through, to determine where the archetypes fall within the houses. I'm terrible at explaining it, but if you get the book, you'll be gently guided!

Good luck!
Carrie
