NATURE CORRECTS

Had a friend once tell me, "Nature corrects," and I think of that all the time. I think about that when my mood is foul and made better by having gone outside and stepping upon the earth. I think about that when I see so many of the "problems" I thought my children had, take care of themselves, all in the fullness of time. And I think about that every time I'm in Sisters and see this tree.

I want to know the story of that tree, how did it grow that way without falling over, without becoming completely uprooted? Then, at what point, and under what conditions, did it start to straighten out? What changed? How long did it grow outward and wayward, before skyward?

Today is said to be quite auspicious, and quite powerful. 8/8/08.

Maybe today is the day that marks the point in time my path will straighten out and go up, instead of always feeling like it's veering hopelessly off course?

Maybe not.

Nature corrects. That's all I know.

Yes sorry about that, but I needed a bit of a break, a little rest if you will. If you examine the bark more closely you'll notice an imprint of my derriere! You did know I'm as old as Methuselah?

Cheers dear

Nature does correct and as you wisely say, there are no accidents. You are meant to take those sidetracks off the path and will always get back on the straight one. You can count on it. Look at all the wonderful lessons you have already learned and thankfully shared with us.

The tree did correct itself, but not before going off the course a bit. A very wise tree indeed.

Love you.

Maddy is SO FUNNY!

I love that nature corrects!

I was outside this evening and it was so lovely, I felt myself breathe more deeply than I have in a long while and so I just RESTED in the cool air!

It strikes me that, for whatever reason, as that tree was growing horizontally its path WAS straight. Not straight up, but straight toward something it needed to head for. Then when things changed, it began heading 'straight' in another direction, this time up.

My dear friend, your path is straight. You are not off course. You are on the exact course you need to be on right now. You are bravely moving forward, eyes and heart wide open. I am so proud of you.

Love.

Veering hopelessly off course? Weren't you the one who chants "no accidents?" There are no accidents. Our path is our path. It is exactly what we create...until we choose to create something else.

If you're finally ready to go up, why, go up. Go girl. I have total faith in you...

maybe the tree was always on its true and correct path, as are you!

Love that tree. Did you know the house we all stayed in last year in Black Butte Ranch was on Twisted Stock Ln. :)

I would add: nature corrects and there is wisdom in chaos.

Non-rational, non-ordinary, undoing -- all useful in the process of creating order.

Trust and faith in the path...

The Ute Indians use to tie the tree saplings at one point in the middle of the trunk and the tree would grow up right, but with a "kink" in it. It was blessed and was then thought to be a "sacred" tree. Could be that that particular tree was once an Native American "sacred" tree. That's all I know about the tradition - xoxoxo

Last week we saw old growth trees, blown down by hurricane force winds, with new growth already sprouting from exposed roots. Nature not only corrects, it will not be denied.

Love it.

We have tree kinda like this in the yard. It grow out of a hill, and sort of leans, and then in the middle it corrects. I always look at it and wonder, but I never thought about it like this.

You are so smart.

:)
