DROOLY

Flicka remains perfect. She sleeps when she's supposed to sleep, she pees when she's given the command, "Do your business," she eats on schedule, doesn't beg, has yet to make a sound and is about the cutest thing you ever did cuddle. She gives great hugs and kisses and thinks she's a lapdog. Perfect, right?

We've found her flaw.

The dog drools.

And drools.

And drools.

We had dinner at the table last night (2x a week whether we need to or not), and she slept peacefully at our feet the whole time. When we got up, so did she. There, where she had just lain, was a wet spot! No way had she peed, but we couldn't figure it out. Then we started thinking back to all the other various wet spots we'd seen, or wondered if we'd seen, that didn't smell but could not be otherwise explained.

Tonight as we watched our 20,000th episode of "Seinfeld," (ironically, the one where Poppie pees on Jerry's couch), I realized her whole chest was wet! She'd been sleeping in a way that her massive amounts of drool had totally wet the front of her.

So, she's not perfect after all, she's human.

And we love her.

Drool and all.

She waits in front of the shower for him?

Could anything be any more adorable? Ever?

Awww, poor Flicka, it's icky to sleep in drool. We deal with a lot of drool around our house—Max has been extra drool-y lately. (Max is a boy, for those of you who don't know me!). He keeps wetting through bibs.

We had a cat who drooled profusely. Loved her anyway too. Lots. xoxo

Oh, I've got some catching up to do! Looks like someone is making themselves right at home. Congratulations on your new arrival.

(Have you seen Turner and Hooch??)

Aw, LOVE that she waits outside the shower! So adorable! Drool is much better than pee in the house-we're still dealing with that some.

She sounds lovely, looks beautiful and seems to have found a place in your heart.

Too funny! At least it's a clear, non-smelly liquid she's leaving behind.

So pleased she has assimilated so quickly in to the house.

We'll all be drooling at some point in our lives....

What a fantastic dog!

Hmmm. I wonder what might cause excessive dog drooling? I'm going to ask our holistic vet.

Be glad Flicka is not a sharpei. I petted one under the chin once (good grief).

P.S. You and I have similar bath mats.

She drools? Huh.

I remember a kid in M's class who drooled a lot. He had "low tone".

There's an IEP for that.

(kidding, kidding)

You have me intrigued. Not ready to commit, but intrigued...

Lying under the table while you are eating...I would drool, too.

One cause of drooling in dogs and cats is a bad tooth. (I'm sure there are others.)

She can drool on my feet any time. She goes really well with your bathroom (and your whole life actually).

I love the black dog in the white bathroom, almost like the white chickens besides the red wheelbarrow, no forget that.

I want to cuddle up with Flicka! Everyone has some issue.
